Featured Hot Spots - Greater Mercer County AreaGreater Mercer County Area - Featured Hot Spots for the week of July 7th, 2008 This is my first in a weekly series of "Featured Hot Spots" I'll be posting. If there is something you'd like to add or would like featured don't hesitate to reach out to me. Mercer County is close to many attractions. Just a five -minute drive to Mercer County Park and you can enjoy picnics in it's 2,600 plus acres. Tennis courts are available, as well as bike trails, an ice-skating rink, boating, and lakes. In addition, feel free to roam the gorgeous Grounds for Sculpture located in neighboring Hamilton, which showcase many sculptures in a variety of styles and form. Grounds for Sculpture is a hidden gem in the Mercer County area usually only scene by the commuters from Hamilton Train Station. If that doesn't excite you how about catch a show at the Trenton War Memorial Theater offering anything from pop, jazz or stand up comedy. Or you could also watch the local Trenton Thunder Baseball game at Waterfront Park. As a season ticket holder for the Trenton Thunder I can personally say there isn't a bad seat in the house. And after the game if you're just looking for a place to hit the dance floor, try Katmandu; a club/island-themed restaurant where you will find an eclectic crowd. With its enormous dance floor and an outside deck with live bands, parties, and DJ music.
